City of Mesa
Desert Trails BMX Park
Mesa Works with VR to Complete Unique Trail for Off-Road Biking.
Trailheads
Desert Trails provides off-road biking opportunities for all skill levels in a 35-acre native mountain setting. The trails also provide viewpoints and exercise for those who prefer to hike and climb. Multiple bike tracks offer a variety of challenges for jump/slopestyle riders with jump lines and flow lines cascading off a mountain knoll in the center of the park. With 15,000 SF of unobstructed Skills and Pump Tracks, the new trail offers appropriate tracks for young children and experts alike. A desert mountain themed restroom, two ramadas, and 30-car parking provide easy access and an enjoyable adventure destination.
Valley Rain had the opportunity to incorporate advanced trail construction and sensitive desert preservation skills developed on other local trailhead projects. The Job Order Contracting (JOC) contract delivery method utilized by the City of Mesa allowed our construction managers to participate fully in the design phase, resulting in an outstanding facility.
